QUICKTIME PLAYER <---- is the program for getting the .aiff file off of your CD and onto the computer, translate it and resave iit as compressed. This program is on all of the machines. It must be the "Pro" version. If under the "File" menu there are not import... and export... option then you are not on a machine with the "Pro" version.

1. Load in your CD. (quit itunes if you need to if it launches)
2. Open Quicktime Player
3. Import the sound from the File Menu
4. Drag the little triangles below the play bar to mark off the clip you want.
5. Select TRIM from the edit menu.
6. Go to "File" and then "Export"
7. Make Sure that the export is set to Movie to Quicktime Movie File should be saved as XXXX.mov
8. Select options button and then the settings button.
9. Select the "Codec" and settings that you want to compress/crop the sound with.
10. Say OK till you get back to the export save window
11. You can then hit save.
12. You should now have a file with .mov at the end.....to see what format the resulting file has open it in Quicktime Player and hit the apple key + I.
13. Upload to the media folder and correctly embed the media into your HTML pages.
